Our New little one has arrived!!

What can I can, We are so in love with our new daughter. She is truly a miracle from God!! ``

Our newest daughter arrived on Febuary 9, 2011 at 5:14 pm.

Her name is Rachel Elise and she was 6 lbs 14 oz and 21 in long.

She is beautiful and best of all is a term baby and we had absolutly no NICU time. We feel so extremly blessed by this .

On mon Feb 7, the Dr decided it might be best if we did induce to a couple of issues (nothing really major) I was suppose to go in on tuesday night to start, but when I arrived, I was already in early labor and was having contractions 2-3 min apart, so we ended up not inducing. Wohoo!!

Anyway, about 2 1/2 hours after I had arrived , my water broke. So we new it would now be a matter of time before our newest daughter would arrive.

By early am , I was having steady contractions, but not really progressing, so they started pitosin, but by late afternoon and still no progress and baby heart rate decling, it was decided that it would be best for a c section (there is alot more to this but will save for now).

Mom and baby are now doing well, and are at home and trying to adjust to a new schedule along with daddy and big sister Alexandrea.

Alexandrea loves to hold her sister and is being a great big helper and bib sis already!

Countdown

We are getting more and more excited as we near our due date. We have offically passed the same gestaion that Alexandrea was born. I will be 34 weeks tomarrow. We can't wait to meet our newest little girl.

So we have about 6 weeks to go, please keep praying for a term baby this time and for her to be healthy. We still have not totally decided on a name, but hey we will have one for sure once we see her.

Christmas Day !

I can't believe this is our third Christmas with our beautiful daughter . Christmas 2008 was such a blur due to her early arrival. We got home from Portland on Dec 23th . One of my great friends and my mom had manage to put up our tree, I did managed to put on some decorations

Christmas 2009, was great too, but she was not into opening presents, but did love her gifts she had received .

For Chrsitmas 2010 Alexandrea loved every minite , the tree, the ornaments, the lights . We felt so blessed this Christmas Season. She loved opening all her presents too an thought everything was for her.

My last u/s we got this image, We think she is beautiful, and we do not have a name for her yet .

As I near the gestation , I had Alexandrea I am starting to get a little more nervous but this lil girl, if they guessed right is already bigger than Alexandrea was at birth (3 lbs even 32 weeks 6 days).

Happy Halloween 2010!!

Alexandrea did a trial run in a swimming class a few weeks ago, she loved it, We hope to do it again soon but wil be in a class next time.

22 Months

Our lil miss Alexandrea is now 22 months old, Where has the time gone ?

She is a little mini tonado aound our house and is so quick now that she is walking every where. She is also most running but is not quite there but she is so proud of herself and we are too. She is so much fun right now and we just can't wait for her to be a big sister.

Above, one of our very sweet dear friends is a breast cancer survivior, we participated in the "sleep for the cure" one of our things we got was this pink wig, she loves it.

We recently had our u/s and found out we are having a baby girl. We are so excited that Alexandrea will have a little sister. So far our little one looks good and I will havea few more u/s to monitor her heart and her size . They will also very closely monitor my blood pressure.

Wow, again time has just flown and I have been so bad about blogging, We have been pretty busy here though

If you have not figured it out, Alexandrea is going to be a big sister. I am now 15 weeks, hopefully here in a few weeks we will get to know what we are having. We are truly excited about this new little one even though it wa a complete suprise to us! We are also nervous and scared since Alexandrea ended up coming 7 weeks early but we also have our faith that we can carry full term and have a healthy little one. We do not care what we have , we just want a healthy baby. So far the pregnancy has gone fairly smoothly other than daily all day sickness. Our newest little one is due in Feb 2011.

On friday Aug 6, 2010, Alexandrea had surgery to close the asd (atrail septal deftct) The hole ended up larger than they though it was. In her echos before surgery, they guessed it was around 7-8 mm, once they got in there, they discovered it to be at 11 mm and place a 12 mm stent (titanium mesh plug). They decided to go ahead and close it using tee cath procedure as she just is not growing like they hope she would. It seems even on or off a feeding tube at high calories she just does not gain. So with the surgery being done we are hoping for better weight gain. She is now weighing in at around 16lbs 4 oz.

Her feet are def growing though, she has gone from a size 2 to a size 4 in a matter of about 2 months. She is walking everywhere and there is not stoping her now, After her surgery, she has had so much more energy, it is truly amazing, so we have already had some good come out of her surgery.
